Selection Committee
The BGA Board of Directors shall be responsible for making selections for international events. Note: No player under consideration is permitted to participate in the selection process.
Selection Timing
The selection date shall be dictated by the stated time for entries to be received by the host country/ association. Notice of timelines and any changes to the selection date shall be communicated to the general membership via email and posted to the BGA website.
Selection Criteria
To identify players to be considered for selection, the BGA Board of Directors will utilize the National Orders of Merit and the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR). Each international event will have a unique set of criteria that will be used to generate a player pool, from which selections will be made.
Commitments After Selection
All selected players are expected to continue competitive play where possible, and must continue to adhere to practice and fundraising schedules between the date of selection and date of departure. Failure to do so may result in a selected player forfeiting their place to a reserve.
